Elijah gets hurt. A lot.
Today he got hit in the face at baseball practice. It was minor, thankfully. At least he had already somewhat dealt with his scraped, bleeding, bruised elbow from a few minutes earlier in practice. And really, the new wound did a nice job of covering the dark purple scar on that elbow from when he fell in the driveway--twice in the same spot. And on the bright side, his mosquito bite that was nearly 3 inches in diameter, hugely swollen, and hot to the touch was finally receding. And since the bite was finally receding, it was encouraging to see that the scrape on that knee from wiping out on his scooter was nearly healed. And it worked out well that the mosquito bite was across his right knee because his left knee was sporting a scab and deep bruise from falling in a rockpile. And of course it's good that he fell on his left knee because his left shin was already swollen and bruised from bashing it into metal bleachers. But that worked out alright because the road rash he had all over his left leg was mostly healed and hardly any scab remained. Oh, and did I mention the other mosquito bite located on his right shin has also receded and is no longer 2 inches across and bright red? Oh, and more good news. The bruises on his hip from falling off his scooter have completely faded.
So you see? He's really fine.
