There, peeping above the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up and out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing; there was light and high beauty forever beyond its reach. J.R.R. Tolkien

Current Reading List

My current reading list is:

"There's a Sheep in my Bathtub", by Brian Hogan
(missionary biography, gripping story, funny, moving, tragic, amazing)

"Overcoming Emotions that Destroy", by Chip Ingram
(I'm not that far in yet, but plan to read it all.)

"The Invisible Woman", by Nicole Nordeman
(I'm re-reading this and it's moving in me all over again. Great book for moms. Really not for anyone else.)

"Luke", by Luke
(I keep getting distracted when I read this because the Sunday School song "Peter, James, and John in a Sailboat" is stuck in my head.)

"English from the Roots Up"
(This is for homeschool. I just finished reading the intro and teacher's notes. I found an error in the Greek alphabet pronunciation guide and am now unsure if this book is accurate enough to use. I'm hoping it was just something isolated or a typo.)

I'd love to hear what you're reading. I'm always looking for something new.

And, no, my Christmas shopping is not done. Let me re-phrase. It is not started.
