Today, Brian and I decided that Joseph might splinter our backyard fence with his pitching practice. He might also splinter the nerves of our neighbors with the loud thwak, thwak, thwak for hours on end. Brian found a solution for the fence. He set up a flat board and drew a strike zone on it. Now our fence might survive. As far as the neighbor's nerves? A solution does not appear to be forthcoming. Given that Joseph spends most of his outdoor time either pitching or shooting baskets, it doesn't look like we'll be peaceful and quiet neighbors anytime soon.
Elijah is enjoying being teacher's helper. The teacher (yours truly) just had the small disadvantage of not realizing she had a teacher's helper until she found a phonics manipulative cut into small pieces. He had seen the symbol for scissors on this particular manipulative and decided to jump in and help by creating a puzzle for the teacher.....
Oh, and Elijah used my laptop today. When I came in, he was licking his finger and rubbing it all over the mouse pad. He told me he needed it to be "more slipperier". Oh. Blech.
