There, peeping above the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up and out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing; there was light and high beauty forever beyond its reach. J.R.R. Tolkien

Move Hands Up??

Elijah and I are continuing our piano lessons each day. At this point, he's quite cheery about it, which is nice for me. Very nice. Yesterday, he was learning a song and in the middle of it, it says, "move hands up." He immediately threw both hands up in the air over his head and said in great surprise, "What does that mean?!"

I guess I should teach him about octaves.

Once I'm done laughing, that is.
