There, peeping above the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up and out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing; there was light and high beauty forever beyond its reach. J.R.R. Tolkien

Who Is Being Screened Here

As I attempted again and again to correctly type the verification code on a friend's blog today, just so I could comment, I began to wonder. Is this blogging feature designed to keep anyone over the age of 40 from commenting on a blog? I certainly can't figure out the need for barely visible, blurry letters and numbers just to prove I'm human. All it really proves is that my eyes must be failing.

  1. Girlfriend, I am not quite 40, but I can NEVER see those letters/numbers either. Thus the reason I hardly ever comment.

It's always fun to get comments, but if you post anonymously, I don't know who you are! It would be super if you would leave your name.
