There, peeping above the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up and out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing; there was light and high beauty forever beyond its reach. J.R.R. Tolkien

His Word to Me

My power is perfected in your weakness, child. Outwardly, you are wasting away, but inwardly, by the resurrection power of my Holy Spirit, I am renewing you day by day. I see your weakness. I know your struggle. I took on flesh for you so that you could have a high priest able to sympathize with your weaknesses. I will walk this valley with you, as I always have and always will. Do not forget to fix your eyes on what lies ahead--a priceless inheritance, beyond the reach of change or decay. Your eye has not seen, your ear has not heard, your mind cannot imagine what I have in store for you. Lean on me today, dear one.

It's always fun to get comments, but if you post anonymously, I don't know who you are! It would be super if you would leave your name.
