There, peeping above the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for awhile. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up and out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing; there was light and high beauty forever beyond its reach. J.R.R. Tolkien

The Moments Continue.....

This morning, I dropped Elijah off at preschool. I helped him find the proper bin for his coat and then the other bin for his backpack. After I got him all settled, I calmly took off my coat and placed it in the bin with all the preschool-sized coats. For about 10 seconds, something just didn't feel right as I stood there. I couldn't figure out what came after that. It was when I noticed one of the preschool teachers looking at me with a rather puzzled smile that I realized the next step was to leave the building wearing my coat. I laughed. What else can you do? Well, actually there was something else. I retrieved my coat.
